  • Common use

Careprost is a prostaglandin analog. It works to lower pressure in the eye by increasing fluid drainage from the eye.
Careprost can treat hypotrichosis (congenital deficiency of hair) of the eyelashes including growth, length, thickness and darkness.

    Dosage and direction

Apply one drop of Careprost eye drop on a sterile eyeliner applicator to the upper eyelid margin, the base of the upper eyelashes until the eyelashes are moist.
Blot any excess solution runoff by tissues or cotton. Repeat for another eye with a new sterile applicator. Do not apply any on the lower eyelashes.

The dose of Careprost will be different for different patients. Follow your doctor's orders or the directions on the label.

Adult: As a 0.03% solution: Instill 1 drop into affected eye(s) once every night.

    Precautions

Eyelashes growth may revert back to pre-treatment level upon discontinuation of the medication Careprost.
